地球空间X射线成像模拟研讨会在西安召开

地球空间X射线成像模拟研讨会于2019年5月12日在西安召开。SMILE任务模拟工作小组(Modelling Working Group, MWG)的共同主持(co-chair)孙天然和Hyunju Connor,以及SMILE中方首席科学家王赤研究员为联合召集人。中、美、欧、加等国二十余位科学家参加此次研讨会。

研讨会期间,参会科学家针对地球磁层X射线辐射的磁流体力学模拟(MHD)、混合模拟(hybrid)和弗拉索夫模拟(Vlasov)等方面的工作进展进行了报告和讨论。X射线成像仪的PI - Steve Sembay教授、美国天文物理学家Kip Kuntz、紫金山天文台纪丽研究员等就如何将磁层模拟结果转换成X射线辐射光子数等问题进行了介绍。欧空局科学家Phillippe Escoubet等人在观测数据分析方面给出重要进展。

SMILE任务模拟工作小组于2018年4月在苏州SST会议期间成立。MWG自成立以来,成功举办网络视频会议7次(monthly meeting)、研讨会1次、并为欧空间批准SMILE工程实施等重大任务进展提供重要支持。MWG成立一年内,团队成员在JGR-Space Physics发表文章共计6篇。
