讲座摘要

Earth's lithosphere, atmosphere and geospace operate as an integrated electrodynamic system. This lecture extends Lithosphere-Atmosphere-lonosphere Coupling(LAIC) to space weather and magnetospheric physics. From the bottom up, tectonic stress and radon exhalation may alter boundary-layer conductivity, modulating the Global Electric Circuitand potentially influencing ionospheric electric fields, as investigated using CSES-01/02 observations and GNSS TEC data. From the top down, we introduce the Planetary Antenna concept: during Sudden Storm Commencement (SSC) events, induced telluric currents may concentratein highly conductive zones such as the Sanjiang Tethyan belt, the Southern Tianshan margin and the Balkan-Carpathian region. We explore their possible effects on subsurface fluid migration and fault stress, including reported delays of 0.5-80 days. We also discuss joint observations within the International Meridian Circle Program (IMCP) and physics-informed modelling.
